Janet Jordan is a painter and printmaker who spends much of her time creating original and eye-catching etchings. Her work ranges from illustrative to abstract and her inspirations come from many sources, including poetry and the natural world.
Janet lives and works in Somerset, England and attended the Somerset College of Art from 1970-1972. She obtained a B.A. in Fine Art at Wolverhampton Polytechnic in 1972-1975.
In 2006 she produced over 200 black and white illustrations for a book published in 2007, 'Learning Chinese Characters', written by local authors Laurence and Alison Matthews.
Janet managed the Lutyens Gallery, at Hestercombe Gardens, a famous visitor attraction near Taunton, from 2009-2013, organising a continuous programme of art exhibitions.
She is concentrating on her own work once more and sells her etchings through an ever growing list of galleries and framers across the U.K. Locally, these include Ginger Fig in Taunton, Imagianation in Bath, Charlestown Gallery in Charlestown, Cornwall, Studio Galleries in Weston Super Mare, Azure in Sidmouth, Polly Skye Gallery in Lynton, Devon, First-View Art Gallery and Studio in Stourhead, Wiltshire (National Trust) and the Docton Court Gallery in Appledore.

Janet has also sold her etchings at Selfridges department store, in Oxford Street, London.
